Andrew has been hailed as one of the most innovative and ambitious young chefs in the country. He launched his debut restaurant 8 in Birmingham at the end of 2020, whilst continuing to oversee all food operations within the About Dining Group. He rose to attention for his appearance on BBC Two’s Great British Menu in 2018 where he was branded the ‘maverick chef’ for his unusual and creative approach. Andrew returns to our TV screens in the 2019 series of Great British Menu. Andrew was previously at Sosban in South Wales where he was Executive Chef for 2 years transforming the restaurant into a destination for food lovers. He has an impressive track record having worked alongside Michael Caines at ABode in Chester where is rose from a junior role in the brasserie kitchen to sous chef in the fine dining restaurant. He was North West Chef of the Year (2011) and a semi-finalist in BBC Young Chef of the Year (2005).
